The Pavers are Coming!
The new Encompass Center is fast approaching completion and with the arrival of warmer weather, we have turned to the landscaping and exterior building elements. The new building is slated for completion toward the end of June or early July. We are planning to hold a grand opening in early August.
This new facility will house a new Nutrition Center, complete with a state-of-the-art kitchen, storing, packing, and distribution center serving the Tri-County region. This center is the hub of the Meals on Wheels and Social Dining programs of SeniorsPlus.
Additionally, the center will house a new high-tech education center complete with privacy pods/rooms for telehealth, tele-legal, and anything else that requires technical access for confidential conversations. It will also have a computer lab, free Wi-Fi, as well as two classrooms for evidence-based programming, adult enrichment activities, and social dining. It will replace our small education center in our existing building.
This building is designed and built with older adults in mind. We know that older adults thrive when they are engaged and can be as independent as possible. We also know that social isolation and loneliness can have negative impacts on our health. This center is the antithesis of that. It is a place of meeting new and old friends, learning and participating, and getting information and assistance when you need it.
One of the design elements of building is a large patio that can be used for classes or enjoyment.
We are offering engraved pavers on the patio in two sizes: approximately 8×8 and 12×12. These are great ways to recognize someone, a family, or a business. It is also a way to memorialize someone you hold dear. These pavers will be randomly placed on the patio and offer a long-lasting public sentiment.
