Fall often brings a change in routine—and this October, we have an exciting change to share at SeniorsPlus. Beginning the week of October 5, all of our educational opportunities will move to our new Encompass Center at 14 Mollison Way in Lewiston.
We look forward to welcoming you into a space where you can explore your interests, try something new, and connect with others.
Whether you have attended SeniorsPlus classes for years or have never joined us before, this is a wonderful time to see what we have to offer.
Start with something you enjoy
Making connections does not have to mean walking into a room and introducing yourself to everyone. Sometimes, it starts with sitting beside someone in a class, working on a project together, or sharing a conversation before an activity begins.
A shared interest can make that first visit feel a little easier. You might choose an opportunity to move your body, get creative, learn something useful, or simply spend time with others.
Our calendar will vary from month to month, giving you different opportunities to explore. Look for something that catches your attention. You do not have to know anyone or be an expert to get started.
Come as you are
Trying a new activity—or visiting a new place—can feel intimidating. You might wonder where to go, whether you will know anyone, or if an activity is right for you.
Those are reasonable questions, and we are happy to help. Contact SeniorsPlus before your visit if you would like more information about a class, registration, or what to expect when you arrive.
You can also invite a friend or neighbor to join you. Sometimes having someone beside you makes it easier to take that first step.
There is no need to fill your calendar. One class, one conversation, or one enjoyable afternoon can be a good place to begin.
Plan your visit
The Encompass Center’s open hours will be:
- Mondays and Wednesdays: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays: 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Fridays: 8:30 a.m.–noon
Please check our monthly education calendar for specific activities, class times, and registration details. Open hours tell you when the center is open; the calendar will help you plan for the opportunities you want to attend.
If transportation or another concern makes it difficult to join us, reach out so we can help you explore available options.
We hope to see you there
Enjoying quiet time at home and wanting connection can both be part of a fulfilling life. The Encompass Center offers another place to spend some of your time—a place to keep learning, share your interests, and get to know others at your own pace.
This October, we invite you to take a look at the calendar and find something you would enjoy. Bring a friend, try a class, or reach out with a question.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Encompass Center.
