March for Meals

The Fill the Plate Breakfast to benefit the Meals on Wheels program at SeniorsPlus returns Friday, March 31 with a buffet breakfast. It will be held from 7 to 9 am at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch in Auburn. 

Featuring Maine Attorney General Janet T. Mills. 

The event also features the presentation of the Ikaria Award, which recognizes an individual for singular and outstanding contributions toward improving the lives of older adults. More than 200 people attended the event last year. Tickets are $20 per person in advance/$25 per person at the door. $250 for a corporate table for eight is another option. This year’s Ikaria Award winner will be former Speaker of the Maine House Mark W. Eves who served as co-chair of the first-ever Caucus on Aging, pushing an agenda to support Maine seniors to live independently in their homes and communities. With fifteen years of experience working in the field of behavioral health and family therapy, Speaker Eves is a trained marriage and family therapist and serves as the Executive Director of Woodfords Family Services. 

The Fill the Plate Breakfast is presented in conjunction with March for Meals, a national campaign of the Meals on Wheels Association of America.
