Since 1972, SeniorsPlus has been improving the lives of older adults and adults with disabilities. As the designated Area Agency on Aging for Western Maine, SeniorsPlus provides statewide services with an emphasis on Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford counties for core services, including Nutrition and Information & Assistance, that support independent living, healthy aging, and fight isolation. SeniorsPlus is here to help adults make informed choices about aging well while living independently and safely at home.

The mission of SeniorsPlus is to enrich the lives of older people and adults with disabilities, their families and communities, and to support them to make informed choices.

Our Vision

SeniorsPlus envisions a future where all older adults and individuals with disabilities are engaged and respected while living quality, independent lives in the communities of their choice.

Our Aim

Our Aim

Older people and people with disabilities will have choices of where they live and will belong to communities that provide healthy, strong social supports. We help people remain in their homes through wellness and health-related supports and activities. Recognized as the authority on aging in Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford Counties, SeniorsPlus offers a network of innovative support including information and assistance, short-term care management, Medicare counseling, caregiver support and respite, and Meals on Wheels. We inspire and connect our community through health and wellness education, social dining, and special events. Our audience is a diverse group of people that continues to grow and is ever-changing.

SeniorsPlus is a private nonprofit, 501(c)(3) corporation, serving as a trusted resource center for Western Maine (Androscoggin, Oxford, and Franklin Counties). Incorporated as the Western Maine Older Citizens Council, SeniorsPlus, located in Lewiston, Maine, has been serving the needs of older people since 1972.

Food is a basic human need. Our social dining sites and meal delivery programs, including Meals on Wheels, provide and nourish.
