Volunteer Opportunities
We welcome individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and skills. We work with our volunteers to find positions that suit their lifestyles, skill sets, and passions.
Below are some of the opportunities we currently offer:
Meals on Wheels drivers and deliverers in Auburn, Bethel, Lewiston, Norway, and Rangeley
In Androscoggin County, we are looking for volunteers for Lewiston on Tuesdays, Auburn on Thursdays, and Greene/Leeds on Thursdays. Times may vary depending on the day of the week but generally are needed between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
In Oxford and Franklin counties, we are looking for alternate volunteers to do routes in Bethel, Norway, and Rangeley. Times for these routes would be between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. once a month on Thursdays.
Dishwasher at Lewiston Distribution CenterThis position would involve cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of kitchenware. A volunteer is needed Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Kitchen Assistant in Livermore
Help with the packing of meals at the distribution center in Livermore. A volunteer is needed Monday–Thursday, 8 to 9 a.m.
Money Minders in Oxford and Franklin countiesAssist consumers who need help managing monthly bill payments. Variable hours.
Medicare Counselors in Norway, Fryeburg, greater Farmington area, and RangeleyProvide confidential assistance and help to navigate the Medicare system, understanding and reviewing options with Medicare coverages. Requires certification training. All training is provided.
If you want to make a difference in your life as well as in the lives of older adults and adults with disabilities, we have various opportunities for you to consider.
Whether you have a few hours to serve or a few days a week, consider volunteering with us! Your help is greatly appreciated. Most of our programs depend on volunteers and we could not deliver nearly as many services without them.
We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and experience. Businesses are always welcome to assist in the community with corporate volunteers. We have various positions and some that utilize retired professionals with skill sets in organization and problem solving, fundraising, public speaking experience, and many other fields. Please note that most volunteer positions require background checks.
