OVERVIEW
Specialized Services at SeniorsPlus is responsible for coordinating emergency response systems, respite in a facility, environmental modification, and assistive technology for eligible clients. The providers and contractors who deliver these services must have a contract with SeniorsPlus.
To receive services through Specialized Services, clients must be actively enrolled with a service coordination agency and have one or more of these services in the authorized plan of care.
Medically necessary modifications to a residence can enable clients to remain in their home and as independent as possible for as long as possible. Modifications do not include general house repair, remodeling, motor vehicles, nor transient, subsidized, or HUD housing.

Medically necessary devices and services can be used to improve or maintain a client’s level of independence. Examples of assistive technology may include:
ERS is an electronic device, such as an alert button, that enables certain high-risk clients to secure help in the event of an emergency.
Facility Respite is provided to eligible clients who are unable to care for themselves and require short-term care due to temporary absence or relief of the primary caregiver.
